The image above may look like typical, surveillance camera footage but according to this article on TheVerge this may be the future of going through the turnstiles at a Concert. Live Nation Entertainment invested in and formed a partnership with Blink Identity, a biometric identification company that specializes in facial recognition.
Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino says in the article that Blink “has cutting-edge facial recognition technology, enabling you to associate your digital ticket with your image, then just walk into the show.”
Hmmmm, something like that would require them to amass a huge database of customer's images. This reminds me of what our Department of Defense and Homeland Security did for the "Global Entry Program". So, what do you think? Would you opt out of standard ticket access to concerts in exchange for having your face scanned at the gates?
