Via wcvb.com. Well, as a Dad, this got to me today. Bristol County Civil Process Deputy Nelson Brum was eating lunch in his cruiser around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the municipal lot on Court Street in Taunton when he saw a yellow smiley face balloon floating in the wind toward his cruiser. When it got close, he opened his door and it flew right in.
It had a hand-written note on it. It appeared to be a child's hand writing. The note, written on orange paper with pink hearts reads "I love you Dad. I miss you but you are a star."
Deputy Brum said, "I got my heart broken." He posted this picture of the balloon in a couple of Taunton Facebook groups, hoping to find the family of the child who wrote it. The Bristol County Sheriff's Office is asking if anyone can help them connect, please drop them a message. Share this around...
