Paulina Porizkova thanked people for the outpouring of love and tributes from around the world for her late husband, Ric Ocasek of The Cars. It was around 4pm Sunday afternoon when she reportedly found him unconscious and unresponsive in his Manhattan apartment. She posted a photo on Instagram of the tributes people had left outside the apartment, flowers, toy race cars, and candles, with the words, "Thank you."
Ric met Paulina when she was just 18 years old and appearing in the video for The Cars biggest song, "Drive." They were married for 28 years before splitting up amicably in 2018.
