Smart speakers are a pretty cool way to find out the weather, the score of the Celtics game last night, and of course, to listen to WZLX! But Amazon just made them a lot more fun!
At the company’s Amazon Devices event in Seattle Wednesday, they announced that Samuel L. Jackson will provide the first celebrity voice option for Alexa. According to Variety.com they'll be adding more celebrity guest voices for the platform starting in 2020. The Jackson “voice pack” for Alexa will be available later this year for the special intro price of 99 cents.
After installing the Jackson voice pack, Alexa users just say, “Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson." Then choose whether you want him to use explicit language or not. Oh, I know which one I'm picking.
So instead of that friendly female Alexa voice you have now saying, "I don't have an answer for that," you can have Sam screaming, "Say what, one more time! I dare you!" Or, "I have had it with these Mother******* snakes on this Mother******* plane!"
Remember to tell Sam to, "play WZLX on iHeart Radio!"
