Late last week, Eric Clapton surprised fans with a brand new single. "Pompous Fool", (not ironically) was released on Thursday, July 7th. The same day that Boris Jonhson resigned as leader of the British Conservative party. Clapton has been pretty outspoken about Johnson's leadership capabilities including his handling of the Covid pandemic. Politics aside, the track find Slowhand returning to the bluesy honk we know and love from him. Listen to it below.
