Boston Elementary Students Hold Holiday Musical Celebration

ROXBURY (WBZ-AM) --The voices of Chittick Elementary School students echoed through the halls of the Bolling Municipal Building Friday morning.

The all-star kids choir was decked with red bows and bells, shimmery scarves, and reindeer antlers to perform a holiday concert at the Boston Public Schools headquarters.

Many of the onlookers couldn't help but clap and stomp along.

The children sang several holiday tunes, but many students told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz that the song titled "This Is My Wish" was their favorite of all.

"I just like the melody, and I like to sing it around the house," said one student.

Another said they loved it because they got to clap along.

But most importantly, some students said, was the song's message of peace.

"There should be peace on earth and no violence and stuff," said one young singer.

Koriana Bradford, their music teacher, said she was very proud of the students.

"I just told them how powerful music is," she said. "It touches the soul. No matter what background we're from, it brings us all together."
