Valentine's Day "Anti-Love" Top 10

#10  "Bye Bye Love" - The Cars

From the debut album of a band heading into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  A great kiss-off track sung by bassist Ben Orr!

#9   "Hey Hey What Can I Do?"  - Led Zeppelin

Whereupon Robert Pant chases his faithless lover all over town in all the wrong places.

#8   "Love Bites" -  Def Leppard

And it can leave teeth marks! Ouch!  It struck a chord though- this was Leppard's only chart-topping single in the U.S.

#7   "Heartbreaker"  -  Pat Benatar

This early hit for the 80's rocker basically says, "You and me are mutually exclusive!"

#6   "Already Gone"  -  The Eagles

You can't leave me, because I left you first!  Glenn Frey sings a song of victory!

#5   "Don't Come Around Here No More"

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers    A pissed off Petty sets some definite boundaries here, with help from the Eurythmics.

#4   "You Give Love a Bad Name"   -  Bon Jovi

Another band headed for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  A #1 hit single for the New Jersey group.

#3   "Go Your Own Way"   -  Fleetwood Mac

The Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks breakup was obviously painful, but it made for some great songs!

#2   "Separate Ways"  -  Journey

Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain were heading towards breakups and divorce with their mates; perfect for this 1983 smash.

#1  "Love Stinks"  -  The J. Geils Band

No other 'Valentines Day' song gets more requests, proving that broken hearts never go out of style (unfortunately).  Better luck on that next romance!
