Despite the high winds and terrifying storm surge that accompanied Hurricane-turned-Tropical-Storm Florence as it rolled into the Carolinas, the ever-observant residents of the Twittersphere are having a little fun, at the expense of one overly-dramatic reporter.
Twitter user @gourdnibler captured the following video of a reporter from The Weather Channel who appears to be overselling the intensity of storm winds. As said reporter is seen struggling in the foreground, two men casually cross the street in the distance.
Meanwhile, viewers took to Twitter to voice their concerns for the safety of NBC correspondent Gadi Schwartz. His videos posted to social media show him battling intense elements on a pier as Florence approached.
uhhh MSNBC's Gadi Schwartz looks like he's about to literally blow away as he reports live from Hurricane Florence pic.twitter.com/oc95vR935S— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 13, 2018
