Student MedFlighted After Lowell Van Bus Crash

LOWELL, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A 9-year-old in Lowell has been medflighted to a hospital, after a school van was involved in crash Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Bridge Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

The Lowell Fire Chief says there were three other children in the van. They were shaken up but not hurt. 

Lowell Police say that the woman driving the van inbound on Bridge St and the Highlander was traveling outbound on Bridge St. when the crash happened.

Both drivers were were taken to Lowell General Hospital. The seriousness of their injuries were unknown.
