BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- About three weeks ago, Celtics were 10-10 and floundering.

Since, seven straight wins, and the C's are consistently emerging triumphant while short-handed.

Last night, no Al Horford, no Gordon Hayward, no Jaylen Brown, a limited Aron Baynes. Four men who've started games for this group. And, still, a 130-125 win in overtime.

Coach Brad Stevens and energizer bunny Marcus Smart continue to be impressed with the tenacity of their group.

"You know, not everybody had their best night, but everybody did their jobs and kept adding value when they checked in, and played whatever role they were asked to, and gave us a chance to win," Stevens said. "And then Kyrie's big shots at the end put us over the top."

"This is big time, definitely, with the people that we're missing," Smart said. "We're hoping that they can join us real soon. For us to come out with a win tonight with those guys being down, it's something that built this character for this team. It's something that we've been known for over the past years, and we just love getting back to that."

Celtics should stretch the streak to eight tomorrow. They're hosting the 6-21 Hawks.
