BRAINTREE, MA (WBZ-AM) — Chris Hall is paying it forward.
Hall, who is on the autism spectrum, remembers when he was 5-years-old a computer was donated to his mom for him to use.
When he found out an organization donated that old computer to his mom, that's when he decided to launch the Computers For The Autistic Foundation.
Hall fixes and refurbishes old laptops that are donated to his foundation and delivers them to autistic children on the South Shore.
In addition, he works with local computer shops to ensure that donated computers are properly rebuild so it can be and donated to children with autism without any issues.
He hand delivers the computers, using his Velomobile - a three-wheeled bicycle car. Hall says it's extremely rewarding to see the reaction of families.
“They are super grateful,” he said “ I’ve had parents want me if they want me to come over for dinner, I’ve had kids super excited to be given their first computer to them, it’s just a great opportunity to provide a tool for kids to do their homework," he said.

So, If you happen to see a 3 wheeled bicycle car in Braintree - that's probably Chris, making a delivery.
“We are an eco-friendly company, we use a velomobile, the bike car we drive all over the south shore from Boston to Carver” Hall Said.
Hall says he gets as much out of giving the free computers, as the kids do in receiving them.
“ It keeps me busy, I deal with having autism, so it’s a coping skill,” he said. “Helping others in need is my coping skill, it helps me get out of bed in the morning,” he said.
