Dream Kid Braiden Met Boston Police

(Boston Police Department)

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Earlier this week, Commissioner William Gross met with Braiden, the latest "Dream Kid" from the nonprofit "Dream on 3."

Braiden wants to be a police officer when he grows up, according to Dream on 3, an organization focused on setting up events for children with life-altering conditions.

A lawnmower accident required the amputation of most of Braiden's hands—leaving only two fingers on each side. He also experienced a deep gash on his left leg which needed skin grafts.

“I want to be a police officer when I grow up because they help people and keep them safe," Braiden said, according to a post from Boston Police.

Braiden is also a fan of the New England Patriots, and was able to watch a game through "Dream on 3."
