BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The number of 'presumptive' positive cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts has risen to 12.
On Saturday morning, the state Department of Public Health confirmed it had positive COVID-19 tests for five additional patients.
That means there are now a dozen 'presumptive' cases in the state, meaning 12 people have tested positive for coronavirus with Massachusetts health authorities.
There is also one confirmed case in the state, meaning the patient's positive test has been confirmed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The DPH said it will update the numbers of COVID-19 cases by 4 p.m.

According to the DPH website, as of Tuesday there were 719 people subject to quarantine in the state. 470 people had completed monitoring and were no longer under quarantine, 249 are currently undergoing monitoring or are under quarantine across the state.
In accordance with the CDC, Mass. State Public Health Laboratory was given approval on February 28 to test patients for COVID-19.
