New England Revolution Unveil New Practice Facility

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The New England Revolution MLS team showed off its new, state-of-the-art training facility in Foxborough Monday.

The $35 million training center includes fitness and medical centers, a locker room, dining room, workout room, hydrotherapy room with three pools, barbershop, and three full-sized grass fields.

Revs President Brian Bilello said they've even taken into account New England weather.

"Our heated training field is actually one of the few heated training fields in North America, and that will allow our players to train outdoors, on our grass field, throughout the year," he said.

Bilello said the facility isn't just for the MLS team, but for a second team program starting in the spring.

"This facility will represent and help us train for the future of the club by developing the best players in New England, which we hope to be the best players in the country, here in Foxborough, Massachusetts," he said.

Coach Bruce Arena said the players have no choice now but to succeed.

"We've created an environment that also sends a message to the community, to the players that we want to win championships here," he said. "Every-day environment is critical to success, and we want to maximize the potential of all of our players, and this facility will allow us to do that."
