NASHUA, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Nashua man has been arrested for possessing child sexual abuse images.

Police executed a search warrant at the home of 25-year-old Michael Carter on Wednesday. Evidence of child pornography was discovered, which led to Carter's arrest.

The search warrant was obtained thanks to a cyber-tip to the New Hampshire Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and further investigation by members of the Nashua Police Department's Computer Forensics Unit.

Carter has been charged with 5 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Images and 5 counts of Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Images. Each charge is a Class A felony and a subsequent offense.

Carter was convicted in 2018 for Possessing, Receiving or Viewing Child Pornography after being charged by the United States Army.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
