BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — March Madness tips off Tuesday with two play-in games. CAA Champion Northeastern will square off with perennial power Kansas in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

The Northeastern Huskies are excited for the tournament.

Northeastern will try for a 13-4 upset. Senior Vasa Pusica told NBC10 Boston that he’s ready.

“We’re just so excited. And playing a team like that that just has such a great history of winning so many titles, having so many great players that are now in the NBA, it’s all you can ask for. I wanted to play someone big like that and I couldn’t be more excited about it,” Pusica said.

It’s just another game for Coach Bill Coen.

“Just realize that it’s a basketball game and that you go out there in-between the line. Just like the Hoosiers, right? You got to go out there, the basket is 10 feet high, and go play,” Coen told WBZ-TV.

Three New England schools are participating in the tournament — Northeastern, Yale, and Vermont.

Duke, North Carolina Gonzaga, and Virginia are one seeds.
