Joe Perry Hints At New England Casino Residency

Joe Perry's medical emergency on Saturday, November 10 following his guest slot onstage at MSG with Billy Joel overshadowed this interview done the day before with WZLX. Fortunately, the guitarist for Aerosmith is going to be all right after EMT's opened his breathing passage and revived the star with oxygen; he is still planning to embark on a short series of solo concert dates beginning in Sioux City on November 30.

Joe's parent band Aerosmith is also moving forward with plans to play at the Super Bowl Music Fest in Atlanta on February 1st and a Las Vegas residency beginning in April for nine nights at Park Theater in Park MGM.  An additional nine nights in June and July have also been booked.

But, could a run of East Coast dates be in the works?  After Carter chides the guitarist for not playing in Boston, Joe alludes that plans for a New England casino residency are afoot.  Aerosmith, by the way, have not played their home area since July 2014 when the "Let Rock Rule" tour touched down in Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center.

In this interview, Joe Perry not only mentions the probability of series of casino shows in the Northeast but also talks about his latest single "Quake," sung by Extreme frontman Gary Cherone and written with Joe's son Roman, who also directed the new video.
