The trailer for the forthcoming Alex Winter documentary on Frank Zappa has been released. The movie about the groundbreaking guitarist, singer, composer, and bandleader will be released by Magnolia Pictures on November 27th, and will be preceded by a special one-night-only theatrical event on Monday, November 23.
The director had complete access to the Zappa family trust and all the archival material found in the vaults. ZAPPA delves into personal details of the musician's life, his monumental career in music, and edgy social and political messages. Several of Zappa's band members and friends appear including Ian Underwood, Steve Vai, Ruth Underwood, Ray White and also his widow.
