The Time Anthony Bourdain Went To Waffle House


Anthony Bourdain, celebrity chef, world traveler, and TV host, was found dead in his hotel room in France Friday morning at the age of 61. He was in Paris filming an episode of his award winning HBO series, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

His culinary career started in Provincetown as a dishwasher back in the 70's, and even though he dined in 5 star restaurants with Presidents and rock stars around the world, "The Bad Boy Chef" never forgot his roots.

If you've ever traveled through the south, you've seen the yellow awnings of The Waffle House all over the place. It's the late night breakfast place you hit after a liquid night of very little food. I think they have as many Waffle Houses as we have Dunkin Donuts.
