Great news! Jerry Remy will return to the NESN airwaves Wednesday night.
In a Tuesday afternoon tweet, he said he was having his last round of radiation and was looking forward to visiting Fenway. He also said he was going to pop in the NESN booth for an inning.
The guy is a fighter, this was his sixth round of treatment. Jerry was first diagnosed with lung cancer back in 2008. He’s been out of the booth since announcing this latest bout back in August.
His old broadcast partner Don Orsillo will be at Fenway Park Saturday, making the call on FOX for the Red Sox/ Yankees game. Wouldn't it be cool if Jerry stopped by?
They could recreate the famous, "Pizza Incident".
