Artificial Intelligence News Anchors Are Coming

Via cnet.com. Well how creepy looking is this?

China's state-run media Xinhua debuted an "AI composite anchor" yesterday at the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen. The AI are "cloned" from real-life anchors, according to Xinhua, sporting the same faces and voices.

"AI anchors have officially become members of Xinhua's reporting team," they said, adding, "Together with other anchors, they will bring you authoritative, timely and accurate news information in Chinese and English."

First, Boston Dynamics posted video of their Atlas robot doing parkour, so we have no chance of outrunning them. And now the new generation of Lisa Hughes and Wolf Blitzers are computer generated!

Just picture this robot head excitedly reporting that the Pats are World Champions again!!!
