After 14 months and 236 performances, "Springsteen on Broadway" at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York closes this Saturday night. An incredible run with a sell out crowd every night at this 948-seat theater.
Sadly, everything has to come to an end, so to say interest is high to see the final show is the understatement of the concert year. StubHub, said that the average paid price for a final-week seat on its site so far is $2,188—about 50% higher than the average paid price throughout the run as a whole.
But if you want prime seats to be there Saturday, you might have to sell a kidney. TicketLiquidator.com, another online platform, has a pair of prime orchestra-level seats for that performance listed for $42,511 apiece! That's an $85,022 date...parking not included.
But wait! Just hours after the show closes on Saturday night, Netflix will premier a filmed version of "Springsteen on Broadway".
And judging by the trailer, it looks incredible...and cheaper.
