Carl Yastrzemski Walks Fenway Left Field With His Grandson Who Plays 2nite!

The last time a Yastrzemski played the outfield of Fenway Park it was Carl on October 2, 1983, and it was the last game of his career with the Boston Red Sox. Tonight, his grandson Mike Yastrzemski will be playing for The San Francisco Giants when they take on the Sox.

Since being called up by the Giants he's been on fire, hitting 19 home runs with 51 RBIs in 96 games. Grampa Carl told the Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy, "It's definitely going to be emotional. To see him come into Fenway where I played for 23 years, to have his name announced, that will be a great thrill for me."

Fenway Park will explode when they announce his name tonight. Watch Carl and his grandson walk left field together this afternoon...
