A trial date has been set for Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz. The Guardians pitchers are accused of taking bribes as part of an alleged gambling scheme.
Federal prosecutors say the two accepted bribes from bettors in exchange for intentionally throwing balls to help the bettors.
Clase and Ortiz appeared in a New York courtroom yesterday, where the judge set May 4th as the start of jury selection.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to charges including wire fraud conspiracy.
