The Darkness Releases Theme Song For "Masters Of The Universe"

British rock band The Darkness has released "Masters of the Universe," the official theme song for the new He-Man movie of the same name, which premiered this week in Hollywood. 

The track was written by brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins along with film composer Daniel Pemberton, who scored the rest of the soundtrack.

Queen guitarist Brian May also contributed a guitar solo to a separate track from the film called "Eternia."

The movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, and opens in theaters June 5th.

The Darkness also announced a "Crock Of Hits" best-of collection due in October, followed by a UK arena tour in December.

They're opening for Iron Maiden at Knebworth in July.
