(SAN DIEGO, CA.) According to this piece from People Magazine, a young Girl Scout set up a sidewalk sale in the mother of all locations: outside a marijuana dispensary. Her father says she sold more than 300 boxes of the famous cookies in just six hours. I'm sure she crushed her competition that day. A few years back another Scout had the same idea and sold over 100 boxes.
Oh, and before some of you reading this start to get "judgey", The chief communications officer from Girl Scouts of the USA Kelly Parisi recently told the L.A. Times:
“All the money stays in local councils, and they make all decisions on how the cookie program is run,” said Parisi in a statement. “As always, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of the girls we serve. Volunteers and parents are empowered to relocate their booths if conditions change and the location is no longer suitable.”
