March 8, 1969: Beatles Own the Charts....again

via unclejoe The Fab Four were still going strong on the billboard charts on this date in 1969. The Top two albums in the Country were The Beatles (a.k.a. The White Album) and also the Soundtrack  for the film, Yellow Submarine. That release was seen by many as a contractual obligation by the Beatles, Still, it didn't hurt sales and popularity in the U.S.  Meanwhile the "White Album" which had been released in November '68 was a mainstay for months on the charts.
