Rare Dylan Guitar Goes up for Auction

From the files of Billboard  A rare, 1965 Fender Telecaster that Bob Dylan used on his first Electric Tour,  as well as the Blonde on Blonde and The Basement Tapes records is headed to the block at Julien's Auctions in May. It's part of their Music Icons sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Indian College Fund

Some huge rock icons have also been linked to playing the famous Tele including Levon Helm, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and Robbie Robertson -- who stripped its original black finish to bare wood in 1970.  You may need to take out a second mortgage  SELL YOUR HOUSE or tap into the rainy day fund of everybody you know. The auctioneers are estimating the guitar will fetch somewhere in the neighborhood of $400,00-500,000  Here's some footage of Dylan during that "controversial"period in 1965
