From UCR May 18th will see the release of some collector's edition material from Sir Paul McCartney's vast body of solo work. Among them , New, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, Thrillington and Wings Greatest will be re-released on CD and vinyl. The die hard fans may recall Thrillington as the loungey, instrumental version of the Ram LP from '71. He used the pseudonym Percy "Thrills" Thrillington and even took out newspaper ads to sell the story. He decided to focus on his new band Wings at the time instead and the lounge project was canned away in the vaults for a 1977 release. At the time many suspected McCartney was behind it, but he didn't officially own up to it until 1989.
The albums will be available on CD and 180g black vinyl editions, all four reissues will be available on limited-edition colored vinyl: New(pink), Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (gold), Wings Greatest (blue) and Thrillington (red-and-black marbled).
