Chris Robinson debuted his brand new band As the Crowe Flies last night at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. The set featured two hours of non-stop rock 'n' roll. Most of which was a return to his Black Crowes roots along with guitarist Audley Freed. Robinson told Ultimate Classic Rock: "“I’m not out to redo the Black Crowes or outdo the Black Crowes or anything like that. I just want to sing the music.”
Outside of a handful of tour dates this Spring, there's not telling how long these Crowes will actually fly. No Boston-area dates to speak of as yet. Here's some footage of "Wiser Time" and the Set List (below it ) from last night's gig:
