via Epiphone During a recent interview with the BBC, Hall of Fame'r Ray Davies announced that for the first time in 20 years he is reuniting with brother Dave and Drummer Mick Avory to work on a studio album and perhaps some live shows too.
In the piece the legendary front man says the new record is "inspired by The Rolling Stones. I think it's kind of an appropriate time to do it. It won’t be well-organised like the Rolling Stones…but The Kinks will probably be playing the local bar." The Kinks got their start in 1964 and to date, have released 24 albums. In 1990, the original four members of The Kinks were inducted into the U.S. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame in November 2005. Click below to watch the full interview from BBC4
