via wgntv Following up on one of the most iconic pieces of television real estate to ever hit the market, I give you an update on "The Brady Bunch House". The exteriors of the home were used in the series in the late '60's-early '70's and it had become the 2nd most-photographed home in America (after the President's, of course).
We now know who purchased this cultural landmark. Another television icon by the name of HGTV. In the article, the network's CEO, David Zaslav says
“I’m excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and we’ll restore the home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can. More detail to come over the next few months, but we’ll bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories with this beloved piece of American TV history.”
The house was originally listed around $1.9 million. Other potential suitors included former pop star Lance Bass. But the almighty dollar loomed much larger for HGTV I guess. The final numbers were not available yet.
