via loudersound.com Sydney, Australia held their annual Guitar Festival this past weekend and it featured an attempt at the Guinness World Record for "Largest Electric Guitar Ensemble". Over 450 axe-grinders/AC/DC enthusiasts gathered to play the classic "Highway to Hell". The reps from Guinness have not confirmed that the record was officially set and say it may take some time to confirm. The previous record had been set in 2013 by a group of 368 musicians in India. They jammed on Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door"
The best part of all was that proceeds benefited the Australian Children's Music Foundation. The charity provides classes and instruments for disadvantaged kids all over Australia.
