via UCR This Fall will see the re-release of Lennon's classic, Imagine on a grand scale. September 17, select movie theaters will run the return of the original Rock Doc "Imagine". The film which was made up of mostly home footage recorded during the time of the album, has been restored from the original print and includes tons of bonus footage. John in the studio with George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins from The Rolling Stones, Alan White from Yes and John's close friend Klaus Voormann.
Then, to mark what would've been Lennon's 78th Birthday (October 9th), a mammoth 140-track Box Set will be available John Lennon: Imagine: The Ultimate Box Set. It will come with four CDs and two Blu-rays and according to the official press release: “whole new levels of sonic depth, definition and clarity to these timeless songs”. Other highlights of the Box Set include outtakes, rarities and “The Evolution Documentary,” an “audio montage” that follows each song on the record from demo to finished product.
