via abcradioonline Like all of its studio predecessors in years past, the classic live soundtrack to The Song Remains The Same finally gets the remaster treatment from Jimmy Page and Co. Due out September 7th, is a massive update of the famed 1973 Madison Square Garden Concerts for what would be their Concert film released in 1976. As you can see from the newly uploaded "unboxing video" above, fans can expect 2-CD and four-LP versions of the soundtrack; a two-DVD set featuring the entire The Song Remains the Same film, plus four bonus performances; a DVD-audio disc boasting 5.1 Surround Sound and PCM Stereo editions of the album and a high-def download for your computing devices. Oh, and you'll also get a 28-page book with essays, art and photos.
This release seems to be in conjunction with the Band's 50th Anniversary in October when they will put out their first Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin book with contributions from all four members personal archives. Below is a sneak peek of TSRTS and a fresh take of "Misty Mountain Hop"
