via Boston Globe I don't know if you've heard, but last month the Massachusetts House of Representatives approved a bill to make US Route 20 a historic highway. According to this Globe piece, It still has to be reviewed in the Senate. If passed there, it would allow Massachusetts cities, towns, and, businesses, to promote the road as a landmark. The designation would also surpass the famous Route 66 that goes from Illinois to California. Our Route 20 officially begins in Kenmore Square, Boston and stretches all the way to Newport, Oregon and ends just shy of the Pacific Ocean. So it nearly goes from Sea to shining Sea. You can learn more and read about the local photographer that helped get this stretch of roadway its due HERE.
