via abcradio The Rolling Stones continue to unload and polish up gems from their archive. Take this latest offering for example. In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Sympathy For The Devil the 1968 film by French director Jean-Luc Godard will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital video on October 5th.
At the time it, offered fans a rare look inside Olympic Studios in London as the 'Stones worked on creating and recording the Beggars Banquet leadoff hitter. The newly-restored film will offer a variety of extras, including a director's cut of One Plus One (the European title); a documentary titled Voices about the making of the movie; a 2018 documentary featuring interviews with cinematographers/producers and more.
Before Sympathy For The Devil hits the retail market, the restored film will be screened on September 7th at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, and also will be shown daily from September 13 through September 19 the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
