source: BBC.com Evidently, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame frontman decided to do his "Spring Cleaning" in the Fall. Recently Rod auctioned off unwanted furniture and home decor at Sworders' Fine Art in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex U.K. The lot included Victorian leather armchairs, a leopard-print lounge chair, gilt bronze side tables, 19th century wall mirrors and other fine furnishings.The armchairs were the most popular, bringing in just under $10,000. The mirrors went for almost double the estimate -- $6,500 -- while the side tables brought in a little over $8,000. Every item was sold as the auction house admitted the celebrity name attached drew three times the usual crowds in-house and online.
It wasn't all for monetary gain though. Sworder's says a bunch of items were also hand-signed by Stewart with proceeds benefiting local Children's Charities. You can take a look at some of the items HERE
