Slash says he's "Stockpiling" New Riffs for G'N'R

posted by Kenny Young -

via alternativenation.net       Well after putting the past in the past  Slash and Axl successfully buried the proverbial hatchet and mounted the fourth highest-grossing concert tours of all time. Following that "Not in this Lifetime" Tour,  it appears from this new interview in MusicRadar that some new material may be in the works. Slash has stated that he's been stockpiling guitar riffs and said:

“There are a couple of ideas that I’ve earmarked for Guns that I won’t be using for anything else. But I don’t know where we are going with this; it remains to be seen what we’ll end up doing. I think the other guys would agree we’re just going to see what happens."

On a related note, the Hall of Fame guitarists' father Tony Hudson recently took to Instagram to say they will make a new album, the first album of new material to reunite original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan since the Use Your Illusion albums in 1991.   Before it was removed, the post stated:

EXCITING NEWS FOR FANS EVERYWHERE ! …… SLASH CONFIRMS THAT G’N’R PLANS TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM / TONY. .

Above, is an interview form '09 where Slash talks about what makes a good riff and name some of his all time favorites.
