See Which Celtic Made NBA History On 10/12/79

via @NBAHistory    This Tuesday, the Boston Celtics open the 2018/19 Season at home hosting the 76'ers at the Garden. I thought we'd take a look back at some NBA history on this very night in 1979. Point Guard Chris Ford hit the first-ever 3-point shot in a Game. The 6'5'' point guard entered the League with the Detroit Pistons, played seven seasons before joining Boston that year. After winning a championship with the C's, he ended his playing career in 1982 with 7,314 total points. Ford later served as a head coach with the team (1990–95) and spent two seasons (2001–2003) as head coach for Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.
