via Buzzfeed How cool is this? The Hershey Bears are the (AHL) Minor League affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Typically when a hockey player scores three goals in a game fans throw their hats onto the ice which gave birth to the "Hat Trick". This Team's annual "Teddy Bear Toss" encourages fans to bring stuffed animals and Teddy Bears to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. After the first goal was scored the other night, nearly 35,000 toys were launched down on the ice. That number broke the previous record of 25,017.
After a (very) long delay to clear the ice, all the toys found new homes with some deserving kids through the American Cancer Society and Children's Miracle Network.
