Last December I posted this story about The Ohio State University installing Bacon Vending Machines to help students get through the end of Semester Finals. Now they've taken vending machines to the NEXT LEVEL!
May I present the Pizza A.T.M. It's the first, major American pilot program of this European touchscreen contraption. In its first week, it sold over 400 pizzas. According to the article, here's how it works:
Dough is pre-made in a kitchen and loaded into the Pizza ATM’s refrigeration unit. When an order is placed, the 10" pizza automatically moves to the ATM’s internal oven, where it gets baked until the crust is golden crispy. The whole process takes about 5 minutes and costs about $8.00.
