The future is coming this Spring courtesy of Stop & Shop supermarkets. They're taking grocery delivery to the next, futuristic level. Driverless-curbside delivery, to be more precise. The high-tech 12-ft. long, 6-ft. high cars will use the new Robomart App.
All vehicles are autonomous, electric and equipped with onboard refrigeration. They are considered as low speed vehicles, and only top out at 25MPH so, no highway travel allowed. There are still hurdles to clear like, specific locations and routes , starting date and the total number of Robomart vehicles that will be coming to a neighborhood near you.
