It's been nearly five decades since the classic lineup of ZZ Top (Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard) took the stage of a Knights of Columbus Hall in Beaumont Texas in February,1969. 15 studio albums, a hand full of live albums, Box Set and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame later, that little ol' band from Texas shows no signs of stoppin'.
They've recently announced plans for what's being billed as: "The 50th Anniversary Texas Bash"will feature special concerts in Dallas on May 17, the Houston suburb of The Woodlands on May 18 and Austin on May 19. Scheduled to open these historic shows will be Cheap Trick and Bad Company .
As of today there aren't any New England area dates to report on, but I'm sure that will change as Summer draws near.
