Earlier this month the L.A. Forum hosted " I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell" . In memory of the life and music of the legendary musician, a cavalcade of former band mates, friends, family and fans showed up to pay their respects. Gibson was also on hand to gather signatures on one of their limited edition, ES-335, Chris Cornell Models (similar to the one pictured below).
The axe now bears the autographs of Dave Grohl , Taylor Hawkins , Pat Smear , Kirk Hammett, Tom Morello and country musician Chris Stapleton among others. It will be auctioned off on eBay to benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, which aims to find a cure for the rare genetic disease, as well as the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation.
