Deep Purple Confirms New Record On The Way This Year.

It's been two years since the legendary Deep Purple released a new studio album. 2017 saw the release of Infinite, which some speculated may be the band's final release. In a recent interview, guitarist Steve Morse revealed that he has two, new recording projects planned for 2019. His prog-rock band Flying Colors AND a new 'Purple record.

In the piece he also hinted at the possibility of more live dates as well saying:

“....I know there’s more Deep Purple gigs that they haven’t announced yet, so don’t tell them that I told you so. … This year it might be U.S., but there’s nothing booked for sure. I’m running on rumor power.”
