Prehistoric Shark Tooth Found On S.C. Beach

A beach walker in South Carolina stumbled upon an amazing, prehistoric discovery recently. Myrtle Beach resident, Ivy Hale, told reporters that she saw something out of the corner of her eye as the surf came in.

Once the tides rolled back, she found a 4-inch Megalodon tooth. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica The shark was the largest fish to ever live. With over 250+ teeth, the shark had the most powerful bite of all time. It may not seem like a big deal until you realize that the giant beast went extinct 3.6 million years ago.
