2019 Record Store Day is shaping up to be a banner year for Classic Rock releases. April 13th will see a treasure trove of limited-edition vinyl on shelves at independent record shops. Here are some to look for:
John Lennon's ,Imagine (Raw Studio Mixes), features stripped-down early versions of the songs from his classic 1971 album
The Rolling Stones have three releases due out: "She's a Rainbow" from an October 2017 concert in Paris; a reissue of the U.K. version of the band's 1966 compilation Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass),pressed on green vinyl; and a 50th anniversary edition of the U.K. version of the group's Through the Past Darkly hits LP.
Queen will release a picture disc of the 2018 Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack,
Billy Joel's will put out the first-ever vinyl release of Live at Carnegie Hall 1977..
Elton John: Live from Moscow, a two-LP set featuring recordings from a May 1979 concert, originally was broadcast on the U.K.'s BBC radio.
To ceelbrate the marking the festival's 50th anniversary, a special, mono version of the two-LP Woodstock soundtrack.
