Authorities just North of Buffalo, NY discovered a a 60 year-old man tied up in side his own truck recently. Robert Brandel of North Tonawanda, New York, told Police that two men in his "Super Bowl squares" pool robbed him of $16,000. He said the men drove him around for two whole days and then left him tied up in his truck.
After a brief investigation, detectives found out that Brandel entered fake names in his "squares pool" for the Super Bowl. His gamble didn't pay off, he ended up short Not only does he owe $50,000 to his Super Bowl pool, but he is now charged with fraud and falsely reporting an incident.
