Classic T.V. Game Shows Are Coming Back This Summer

According to Entertainment Weekly ABC has ordered new episodes of Press Your Luck and Card Sharks, two game shows that first debuted in the ’70s and ’80s.

Press Your Luck was billed as a “a game of wits, strategy and even higher stakes as contestants try to avoid the iconic and devilish WHAMMY for a chance at life-changing cash and prizes. Peter Tomarken was the original host. No word yet as to who will wield the microphone for this reboot.

Card Sharks first debuted on NBC on 1978 before being revived in 1986 for CBS and in syndication from 2001-02. Jim Perry led off the show with Bob Eubanks taking over in the late,1980's. it was based on the card game Acey Deucey, the game has two contestants compete for control of a row of oversized playing cards by answering questions posed by the host and then guessing if the next card is higher or lower in value than the previous one. Heady times indeed, my friends.
